It does exactly what it says and what you'd expect. It changes a lipo battery with a 1mm pitch JST SH connector. I didn't try the 0.5A rate - just the default .1A - but nice to know if I wanted to fast charge...I could. Thing is...the battery I am charging is so small - even at .1A rate it charges in a short time.
This and the small lipo with matching JST SH connector are perfect for my Minifigure Sized board: https://minifigboards.com
Thanks for making a great product!
I got this as a gift for my two cousins, aged 14-16, who are interested in programming and video games. They like the system, it's cute, and the piezoelectric sound is a nice touch.
Okay so if you are here to play some big games that can rival today's games and be able to see the screen well with all the buttons still working. This is not for you. If you are a person that knows or wants to learn micro python and love little novelties this is the thing for you. I totally loved this thing. (I made rock paper scissors for it!) I didn't have much of an understanding of micro python but was still easily able to get into it. I love the community and all of the help I was given. It really made me want to continue with my project even if it seemed too hard. This is hard to play on though if you ain't a kid. To be honest I actually have no problem playing it and it after a few weeks felt big in my hands. There is one problem u got though but this seems to just be me. I was trying to install a special firmware on it so I could see it in file explorer. It didn't work and I was able to reverse it. But a few days after I saw that the speaker just didn't work. Not sure if it is related but I have a sinking feeling it is. So watch out for that. After all of this it is the best raspberry pi product in my opinion.
The only problem with this charger is the possibility of losing it on my messy workbench, due to the tiny size! It works perfectly so far, bringing my lightly discharged 40mAh cells back up to charge in 15-20 minutes. Those 40mAh cells are amazingly small too.
This is the coolest thing ever made by mankind, Not the Gutenberg printing press. Not the transistor, Not the microchip. Not landing a man on the moon. All pales in comparison. This the the greatest thing in the history of the universe.
The staff at TinyCircuits were great. I had purchased a Tiny TV but it came without the correct USB charging. After contacting the company they shipped me the correct cable free of charge. It worked great. Thank you all.
I've already ordered and received a second kit a family member asked for for their birthday. Everything is pretty durable, and it all fits together perfectly. The screen is decently high resolution, bright and clear, and the speaker can be turned up really loud.
I suggest getting a fine-point chrome paint pen for the knobs.
Looking forward to the new editions.
I'm in two minds about whether to publicise this fabulous Tiny TV.
We gave one to my daughter for a significant birthday. Her name is Minnie, so it was perfect. We assembled years of video clips from her life onto it.
People who saw it on Insta just love it!
But I want to use them as promo devices, so I don't want everyone knowing about them.
The TSV converter only works on one of my Macs, But otherwise a joy.
As an old (64years old) newbie to microcontrollers, I have been doing a lot of work recently with them and just about every time I try something new - it ends up taking me way too much time to get them working as they should, and sometimes I just give up and move on. Not so with the Tiny Video Player Kit. The instructions were straight forward and easy to follow and the little player fired up without a hitch. Even converting and loading video onto the included micro-SD card was child's play. I am using this for one of my art clock projects - a pocket watch with video of an eye that blinks once per second.
