This works very good and it was a very fun gift
Fun and easy to assemble. Painting the cabinet was fun, as well. Next, I am going to make a tiny antenna with an old discarded male mini USB and plug it into the USB charging port so it will mount securely on the Tiny TV.
great little motor and the torque level is great.
Example code worked perfectly. Sounds awesome.
This snaps together in a matter of minutes, and the playback is visually much better than I anticipated. Way easier than most kits I have used. Audio is faint through the tiny speaker, needs a boost, but with the superb support got some ideas on how to do this. Looking forward to incorporating this on my N-scale train layout.
Disappointed. I expected a box designed to fit tiny shields. Poor fit.
Exactly what I was looking for. After removing the old battery I installed this replacement which was slightly smaller but higher mah. Charged device and it works perfectly. Super fast shipping to.
Smallest SH plugs on these lion cells are well done. Only source i've found for consistent quality.
Thanks for sharing your skill.
My Auvio (Radio Shack) Bluetooth speaker would no longer take a charge. I searched for a replacement Lithium Ion battery that matched the shape and plug of the old one. A 3.7 volt 500mah flat pack. The picture on their website had an identically looking battery with the correct molex plug, but was 1000 mah. It looked about the same size. When it arrived it fit perfectly into the existing compartment of the speaker. Wow! I now have an improved model since 1000 mah will run twice as long.
I am very happy with the product, the quick shipment, and the low price.
I love everything about this thing. Its beyond compact, the screen is pretty vivid, the games are simple and fun and the build process is satisfying and fun. I highly recommend this for anyone even slightly interested in video games, coding and/or DIY stuff.
I bought Tiny Arcade at SF Maker Faire a couple of years ago, and loved it, & fun to assemble, too. Just came back here to check for new games & there's so many new ones now - sweeeeeet!
Arrived quickly and works great.
Tinycircuits was only place i could find the right sized battery. Little bit thicker than original but made it work. Polarity was reversed, i corrected that with rewiring. Saved me a lot of money.
Glad I found this site, was about to give up and buy a new controller. Battery fit perfect and arrived fast.
Didn't get it installed, defective device. Looks ten times the quality of the battery I took out.
Hanging on to it, may find a need for it later. By the way, very fast delivery.
We had a question and emailed. Had a quick response, ordered. Super quick shipping and part was as described.
First one did not work (could not program the device). TinyCircuts was kind enough to send me a replacement and that one worked!
It was so easy to assemble that my 6 year old participated in the assembly as we watched the video instructions. That was the point of ordering this, so that he can be inspired and participate in building it. It is really cool that this is just like a little television. My son enjoyed playing with it and watching the videos. He's so excited that he helped assemble it that he wants to bring it to show and tell.
I expected to have to do a lot but the process of getting a video playing that I had uploaded was much easier than I anticipated.
I filmed video on my iPhone. Emailed it to myself. Downloaded and converted the video to the custom TSV format, uploaded to the SD card and voila!
LLegó rapido y bien.
Most 500 mAh lipos are wide. This is narrow.
This was an awesome and easy to put together kit. Everything fit together and worked well. It was the hot ticket at the family White Elephant Gift Exchange. I ripped a few holiday favorites from DVD - it was excellent to see the Grinch reptile-sliding around in miniature.
I don't necessarily recommend model paints, at least not last minute, hunched over and air curing in a cold garage. I tested with a brown sharpie and think that would have been easier, more precise and accurate. I only had a fine point so tried the model paints and cheap brushes at Michaels and that did not serve me well. "Why is it sticky?"
Not sure about the beige contrast color - perhaps a colored pencil if you're careful.
You can try your finishes out on the inside back of the case.
I don't have any pictures, but I've ordered and received my second kit so will see if I can upload pictures when I put that one together and try an alternate finish.
The kit assembled quickly and easily I was able to easily convert a video and add it to the SD card. The only problem is that once you insert the card you can't retrieve it again. The plastic grabs onto the boards quite tightly and I feels like unsnapping the boards to remove them would break something. I was eventually able to coax the card out with SMD assembly tweezers (that not any epole have) and I added a flag made of electrical tape to hang out of the bottom of the TV so I couold pull the card as needed Other than not having a way of pulling the card,I'd have to say this was the perfect hac.
I was super excited about getting the Tiny TV and this kit did not disappoint. Very easy to build. The instructions are a video (I am not a fan of video only instructions). Of course you can rewind and pause, which I did NUMEROUS times. Overall only took a few minutes to build. Be careful getting the board into the 3D printed TV (amazing detail on that tiny print ). You still have access to the micro USB port and the micro SD card slots. Once built I am not sure you can safely unbuild it to be able to use the electronics in another housing (I had wanted to try and build something out of LEGO, oh well). It is the perfect scale to go with LEGO minifigures so no worries for me there. Right now I am still having fun with the included video clips, but will be adding my own soon as well.
Thank you! The little tv is the best. Perfect!
Totally awesome kit!
Easy to assemble, and the tiny remote works well. Will be painting the enclosure to have a vintage faux wood grain exterior.
Got it working Coupla years ago
Have new sub-orbital use for it and will
be bring it up again if I can
Got the Tiny TV, Tiny Piano as teasers to spark interest in electronics and programming for my kids. They did the trick, both were accepted with enthusiasm and the desire for more. Already have them converting their own videos for use. Worth the investment.
I plan to conduct classes on creating smart clothes based on Arduino Lily for labor teachers.
I bought 2 of these long range 433 transmitters to do some
development work in IoT
TinyCircuits are simply smaller than anything else with
these flexible capabilities.
I have had good luck in the past with BLE and GPS
So over this cheerful season I will be digging into
long distance comms.
I loved it but i ave problems with uploading the new games on to an micro sd card to the arcade but besides that its fun. (my favorite game is tiny shutter:) )
A neat little kit; easy to assemble and fun to play with. Works great; all features operate well, about 1 minute and you're ready to play!
Awesome little unit! Easy to assemble without instructions. The only trouble I've noted is that the unit turns itself on while charging (don't know why?). Otherwise it works great; really bright lights.
What a great little device. Can’t wait to convert a movie and try it out on something new. The included videos are fun as well. Great addition to my other tiny kits. Thanks Tiny Circuits!
Going to use this for a N (1:160) scale model video billboard. Haven't tried to add video only tested and plays the 30+ish seconds of video preloaded just fine. Your not going to get any Hi-def on it but it is tiny after all. Has 6 channels preloaded may be able to add more channels not sure yet.Remote works well and is also tiny. Screen battery was charged when received. Kudos to the inventors for including the elusive $2 8gb memory card so you can use/test right out of the box if needed. Be careful with the spindly console TV legs when installing the screen. Love it! Going to buy a bunch more when available....
I never had any doubts that I would like it but it was better than I expected. It's easy to assemble though the online instructions were a little tricky to find, at least for me. I would recommend that if you plan to paint it, and painting adds a lot to the final presentation, do so before assembly.
