I write this sitting in my office, located in the corner of a 100 year old former rubber factory. The pipes behind me are clanking, it's early October and the steam heat just got turned on - there will be lots of clanking this season, as there was last year, and the year before that when we first moved in. Outside the window are the twin smokestacks emblazoned with Goodrich down the sides, one with a hint of smoke coming out now that the furnace is lit.

This lets your project keep accurate time even through the TinyDuino being reprogrammed or power losses. It is based around the Maxim DS1339 RTC and supports counting in seconds, minutes, hours, days, date, month and year with leap-year compensation (valid up to 2100).

Solving gamer rage with an TinyDuino based system

Visual Designer Samuel Matson of Seattle has created the Immersion project, integrating a TinyDuino with Bluetooth TinyShield to into a headset to monitor the heart rate in gamers under high pressure situations. The heart rate data is sent real time to the gaming PC where it is displayed in the game, and he’s even created his own game using the Unity game engine that varies the AI and gaming difficulty based on the user’s heart rate.
