Tiny Battery Charger
DESCRIPTION
This is a standalone Lithium battery charger which lets you charge up your batteries from a micro USB cable. The battery can connect to a JST SH connector (the battery connector on the batteries that we sell at TinyCircuits). You can also use this without the JST connector with two large through holes to connect to a battery pack.
Simply plug the USB side with a cable into a USB port, and plug a lithium polymer or lithium ion rechargeable (3.7V / 4.2V) battery into the other side and it will start charging. A status LED on the board will indicate when charging, and will turn off when fully charged.
Note: The battery and the microUSB cable are not included.

NOTES
- The charge current can be changed to 500mA by moving R5 (next to the 0.1mA label on the silkscreen) to the R4 (next to the 0.5mA label on the silkscreen) position.

The board in my surveillance came broke and I couldn't charge it. The company didn't respond to my request to buy a new one. I tripped across Tiny Circuits and tried the tiny changer. And I worked. It was a different layout of course and I had to rig a way in the case to support it. But that is not unexpected. It saved me from having to toss the camera out and buy a new one! Great product. It does exactly what it says and what you'd expect. It changes a lipo battery with a 1mm pitch JST SH connector. I didn't try the 0.5A rate - just the default .1A - but nice to know if I wanted to fast charge...I could. Thing is...the battery I am charging is so small - even at .1A rate it charges in a short time.

I use the battery's for my 3d printed projects... Long lasting easy to use & setup!
The only problem with this charger is the possibility of losing it on my messy workbench, due to the tiny size! It works perfectly so far, bringing my lightly discharged 40mAh cells back up to charge in 15-20 minutes. Those 40mAh cells are amazingly small too.
Had previously purchased 6 kits for grandchildren. Charger does a great job. greatest challenge is storage.

This unit is just what I needed to charge a 40mAh 1S lipo. My other chargers would not charge at the correct rate for the small batteries. It was easy to use and it works great.
